How to edit code in bitbucket server

Hi,

Is there a way to edit code directly from Bitbucket server. I do not see any edit option.

Hi Sateesh,

The in-line file editing has been added as part of Bitbucket Server 4.13 and is enabled by default and  (see related release notes).

If needed, the following configuration option can be added to the bitbucket.properties file to disable the inline file editing:

feature.file.editor=false

Inline editing is surprisingly not available as a built-in feature in Bitbucket Server yet, please watch/vote/comment on the following feature request to raise Atlassian's priority in this regard:

The issue references the two available add-ons that do address this:

  • Atlassian's own (free) Realtime Editor for Stash has been an apparently overly ambitious 'Labs' project, insofar it hasn't been updated anymore since fall 2014 and thus only officially supports Bitbucket Server up to version 3.4.3
  • Mohamicorp's (commercial) Editor for Bitbucket (Stash) has been well received and seems to cover this feature nicely
