How to connect FishEye to Bitbucket?

Christoffer Karlsson July 12, 2011

Hi,

I'm doing the dragon slayer right now but I have been stuck on Dragon Stage 4, Step 5 - Connect Fisheye to Bitbucket for a while.

When I'm about to "Test connection", I'm getting this error:

"Error testing connection.

Error talking to repository:

'hg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

Connection failed."

I downloaded a Mercurial 1.8.x (1.8.4) version as suggested and installed it at C:\Mercurial.

I use https://bitbucket.org/atlassian_dragons/dragonslayers as repository.

What could be wrong? Should I give some more info?

Everything else during the Dragon Slayer have been working fine and I'm using the suggested versions of all the programs.

Best regards

Christoffer

I managed to make it work. I forgot to set the executable 'hg'.

This can be read in the Mercurial manual:

"Before you add your Mercurial repositories, you will need to set your executable location for hg (Mercurial)."

, but not directly in the guide of connecting Fisheye to Bitbucket in Dragon Slayer.

If this step is neccesery, why not point it out directly in the guide?

Best Regards

I've requested a change to be made on the documentation to add this extra step ;)
