How to avoid public repositories

Stefano Nichele January 12, 2018

Hi all,

in my organization we don't want to have public repositories and we don't want that someone by mistake creates a public repo.

Is there anything we can set to avoid it on bitbucket cloud ?

thx

Hi Stefano! When someone creates a repository, it will be made private by default unless someone unchecks the box "This is a private repository". If the repo was public by mistake, you can make it private again by navigating to the repo settings and checking the box again.

Hope that helps!

Hi Ana,

thx for your feedback.

I'm aware of these steps but actually what i needed was a way to avoid mistakes. Something like "public repositories not allowed" in team setting.

thx

Hi Stefano, I'm afraid that feature is not available. If you'd like it you can submit it to our issue tracker at Site/master.

Ana
