How to add a custom status to pull requests?

We need a way to distinguish PRs which are:

• ready for review
• those which aren't
• already being reviewed by someone

Is it possible by adding a custom PR status beside Open/Merged/Declined?

What do you think about to do it on Jira side under workflow triggers?

Many companies like use with workflow triggers in Jira under integration with Bitbucket.

Yeah, that would be helpful if we'd use JIRA, but we're using something else due to certain tedious/complicated reasons.
