How long is a BitBucket "Subscription Term"

Sean Hodges June 15, 2016

The Bitbucket customer agreement https://www.atlassian.com/legal/customer-agreement section 7.2 states:

Hosted Services are provided on a subscription basis for a set term specified in your Order (“Subscription Term”).

Then regarding cancellation terms:

Except as otherwise specified in your Order, all subscriptions will automatically renew for periods equal to your initial Subscription Term (and you will be charged at the then-current rates) unless you cancel your subscription through your account at my.atlassian.com.

How do I determine how long my subscription term will be prior to payment? The "Purchase plan" form doesn't give me any details of the "order" I am purchasing.

If you pay on a monthly basis (as is the case for Bitbucket cloud), then the term would be one month. This just means that they renew each month at the current price unless you cancel the subscription.

I assume the language is generic to also work for Bitbucket Server, for which you pay 1-year renewals.
