How is backup-config.properties formatted?

References bitbuckets backup-config.properties file and several values that should be contained inside it.  However it gives no reference as to how these values are to be formatted.

Is it space separation from name to value? Tabs? commas? an = and then quotes?

I would expect this to be an ordinary Java .properties file.

(But yes, it should explicitly say that so you don't have to guess!)
