How do you specify clone options and additional parameters

Bitbucket presents a Clone icon; when that is selected it a user a list of clone options. For example ssh or http ... selecting ssh may show ssh://git@<some servers>/<some path>/<some repo>.git    .    Is it possible to add additional parameters to the displayed  ssh/http command. If a user selects ssh, the resultant clone parameters could include --recurse-submodules ; like this ssh://git@<some servers>/<some path>/<some repo>.git  --recurse-submodules.

Basically we have a repo that has submodules; and having the --recurse-submodules option on the command would be very helpful.
