How do you escape the @ character inside a code block to prevent username resolution?

Deleted user May 4, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Markdown syntax guide

I'm trying to write a comment with a code block, something like:

```
@Test(expectedExceptions = IllegalStateException.class
```

However Bitbucket seems to be very keen on trying to look up @Test as an end-user and since we have a user with that user id the @ sign will disappear and only the user name will show up unfortunately (and probably that user will receive an unnecessary notification).

Hi Peter,

We're tracking a fix for this on the following JIRA issue:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-5441

This change should be available in the 4.6.0 release of Bitbucket Server.
