How do I transfer ownership of a repo from my private account to my work account?

Brian Goulter November 30, 2020

I have created a repo on my private Bitbucket account (i.e. using my personal gmail account).  I now want this to belong to my work (Atlassian) Bitbucket account.

I have located the "Transfer repository" form using my private account.  It asks me to enter

"New owner (workspace id)*"

How do I find out what this is?   Everything I have tried comes back with an error message of "Only enter the workspace ID"   despite the following line suggesting that I provide

"https://bitbucket.org/<workspace ID>/<repository name>".

I do not see anything on my Bitbucket that lists the <workspace ID>'s.   This should be trivial, but obviously for me, it is not.

Ahh  so I do not type in the "https://bitbucket.com"     All I type in is the company name (which is apparently the <workspace id>).  I was misinterpreting the "Only type in ..." instruction to mean "don't add the repo name".

So for dummies like me, it would help if there was an explanation before the example "https://bitbucket.org/<workspace id>/<repository name>"   saying that you can find the "workspace id" from the webpage URL when you are logged in to the Bitbucket account.

At least no one else needs to reply now.
