Git LFS workaround not working

datalogics-robl August 4, 2017

I cloned a repo using Git LFS and got a warning with this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/current-limitations-for-git-lfs-with-bitbucket-828781638.html#CurrentlimitationsforGitLFSwithBitbucket-fork

I'm following the instructions under "Git LFS files are not copied when a repo is forked". However, I'm getting stuck on step 5: when I try to push back to my fork, the terminal simply hangs with no console output whatsoever.

It's clearly doing something (since the terminal quickly moves to the top of the 'Applications using power' list), but I've let it sit for over an hour and it never finishes.

I'm running git 2.8.1 and git-lfs 2.1.1 on macOS Sierra.

Hi Rob, are you using Bitbucket Cloud or Server? Can you let us know the size of your LFS files? Do you have enough free storagre in the destination account?

If you're in Cloud you can check this article on How to troubleshoot LFS.

Regards,

Ana
