Failure During Bit Bucket Installation

I have just installed Ubuntu 16.04 and then installed BitBucket (atlassian-bitbucket-5.4.0-x64) and headed to http://localhost:7990 .

I’m getting the following errors.

------------------------------------

A fatal error has occurred

The following problems occurred, which prevents Atlassian Bitbucket from starting:

: Required plugin com.atlassian.plugins.atlassian-nav-links-plugin has failed to start

: Required plugin com.atlassian.upm.atlassian-universal-plugin-manager-plugin has failed to start

-------------------------------------------------------

How can I fix these errors. I’m new to Linux, so I will need some easy instructions.

Regards

Hwang

The root cause is likely further up the log file. If I were a betting man, I'd say one or more of these things is wrong:

  1. Selinux is enabled and in Enforcing mode (set it to permissive instead)
  2. You are using MySQL as the database and haven't installed the driver.
  3. The directories, subdirectories and files of the application are not owned by the user you are starting Bitbucket with.
  4. The directories, subdirectories and files of the home are not owned by the user you are starting Bitbucket with.
  5. You edited a configuration file and there is some syntactic error now.

I hope that helps.
