Error on push to repo : Expected json type, got: "text/html"

I have created a new repository in bitbucket under a project.

I use LFS support and try to push my local files to the repository, and I get this error:

batch response: Expected json type, got: "text/html"

any advice?

We need a bit more information:

  • what OS are you using?
  • what version of SourceTree are you using?
  • what Bitbucket service (Cloud, Server [version?])?
  • Mac OS 10.11.6
  • SourceTree 2.5.2 (111)
  • Bitbucket Cloud

I don't think the problem has to do with SourceTree.

I have the same problem even if I try to push using the terminal, git version 2.9.3.
