Hi Team,

We are encountering an issue while attempting to push code to our repository.

remote: ********************************************************************************
remote: [ALERT] Your push failed because the account has exceeded its
remote: [ALERT] user limit and this repository is restricted to read-only access.
remote: [ALERT] To restore write access, ask an account administrator to upgrade their plan.

Could you please assist us in resolving this issue?

Thanks.

Hi @mmulay and welcome to the community!

I can see in our system that the payment for your Bitbucket Cloud workspace failed. The workspace was then downgraded to the Free plan, and if there are more than 5 users on a Free workspace, then pushes are blocked.

I suggest contacting the credit card provider (of the credit card you use in Bitbucket Cloud) and asking for more details on why the payment failed and how this can be resolved. When the issue with the credit card is resolved (or if you have another credit card and change it in Bitbucket Cloud's payment details), you can upgrade the billing plan of the workspace from Workspace settings > Plan details.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
