Elasticsearch error "ElasticsearchClientNotConfiguredException"

Loapu January 22, 2018

Hello,

I recently installed Bitbucket Server 5.7 on my Linux/Debian8 system.

The problem is now that I can't get Elasticsearch working.

The atlassian-bitbucket.log contains this error:

https://pastebin.com/kMntUGpH

Is there a way to configure Elasticsearch after the installation of Bitbucket? Or what else could cause this error?

Kind Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin! Apologies for the delayed reply, are you still experiencing this issue? There should be no additional configuration needed for the bundled Elasticsearch. After install, Elasticsearch should start first and then Bitbucket Server.

The issue you're experiencing in this case could be due to the configuration of Bitbucket Server, or inputting the incorrect URL. We may need a support zip

Please follow the diagnostic steps at https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserverkb/troubleshooting-steps-for-bitbucket-server-code-search-827125334.html so you can gather and provide more details on the nature of the issue.

Let us know how it goes!

Hello,

indeed I solved this problem on my own with reinstalling bitbucket. It seems that I have destroyed something upon the first installation.

Thank you anyway for your response.

Kind Regards,

Benjamin
