Does changing the SVN URL force a reindex?

Rob Wiskow June 21, 2012

We're changing up our SVN infrastructure a bit, and will be moving it to a different directory on our hard drive. Fisheye is currently configured with a file:// url. If we change that to point to the new location, will that force a reindex? We're really hoping it doesn't as reindexing everything for us would take the better part of a week.

When you change the URL, FishEye will suggest in a dialog that you reindex but you can choose to cancel that dialog and then you should be fine. I suggest a full backup before you make the change.

It depends how you setup the file:// string. If the file string does not change then you will not need to reindex.
