Create project permissions

Silvo Machado de Souza Junior December 1, 2017

If a person has WRITE permission in a project, he can:

Browse;

- Clone / Pull;

- Create, browse, comment on pull request;

- Merge pull request;

Push;

Is there a way to block only the Merge pull request permission?

Maybe you can use branch permissions to prevent "Write" on specific branches if you want to restrict people merging on to them?

Hi Silvo, at the moment it's not possible to alter these permissions, so if someone has 'Write' permissions they'll be able to merge pull requests too, as described at Using project permissions

If you don't want to give your users total freedom to merge the pull requests, you can add pull requests reviewers so the request will need to be approved before it can be merged. You can learn more about it at Work with pull requests.

Let us know if you have any questions :)

Hope that helps!

Ana
