Hi all,
We've recently started using both Jira & bitbucket in the cloud. We have Jira connected via ADFS for user authenticaton which works fine.
I was now under the impression that we could configure bitbucket to leverage the users in Jira for repository access. I cannot see a way to configure bitbucket in this way so perhaps my assumption is incorrect? I think the on-premise has a setting for user-directory.
I'd like to be able to disable users in Active Directory afterwhich they cannot access Jira nor Bitbucket.
Have others managed this or is Bitbucket a totally seperate directory?
Hi Colin! Bitbucket won't be able to leverage users from Jira, as they have separate user bases. If they use the same email address for both products, they'll be able to use the same credentials to log in to both, but that's as far as it goes.
For more information of how to get the most of Jira and Bitbucket working together, I recommend you read Connect Bitbucket CLoud to Jira Cloud.
Hope that helps!
Ana
Thanks! pity. Id expect a more integrated solution :-(
Do you know if we can integrate bitbucket with saml? Ive seen some mails on this and that is more what Im looking for. We've already integrated Jira with saml but I need to bring bitbucket under control
