Can we make default reviewers rules more granular?

Hello community!
I have such a case. We are using Renovate for dependency updates and trying to implement it's automerge functionality. It requires no approvals on PR, or it won't be able to merge it automatically. On the other side, we don't want to remove this default reviewers thing completely. Is there a way to make it more granular?
