Can i set a team member to only submit pull requests

Simon Davies October 16, 2013

i am adding a new member to a private project (team repository) and i dont want that person to e able to make chanegs locally then be able to comit them to the repository.

Basically i would like their comits to be in the form of pull requests so i can administer them first. Is this possible and if so how.

Would they simply need to fork the project to their own private repository to work on it rather than connect and pull th emain tema repository?

At the moment i was thinking of not adding them to the team but enabling them to fork it to a private repository and then this way they work on it as a seperate project but then when thigns are ok send a pull request?

How and can it be done?

Sounds like the read permission would suffice.

read

View and fork the repository code. All public repositories grant all Bitbucket users read permissions automatically. Read access on a repository also allows users to create issues, comment on issues, and edit wiki pages.

write

Contribute to the repository by pushing changes directly from a repository on a local machine.

admin

Can do everything a repository owner can except create or delete repositories. This means administrators can:

Change repository settings.

Add, change, and remove user permissions.

Give other users administrator access.
