Bitbucket server DIY backup for oracle?

riantolukman July 18, 2017

Hi,

I have recently installed a bitbucket 5.1 server. My backend DB is going to be Oracle.

I noticed that only DIY backup setting is available for versions 5.1 and above. But the DIY documentation does not give any option for oracle backend DB. Is there a way to implement this for Oracle.

Otherwise the online guide is kind of confusing where Oracle is officially supported but when I get into the details of backup/restore etc, then I realise it is not.

thanks

Bharath

Hi Bharath,

You can modify the DIY backup scripts yourself to trigger a backup of your Oracle DB. Oracle databases are fully supported for Bitbucke t Server, and the DIY backup script is merely provided as a basis for you to customize (hence DIY) to your own needs - in this case we opted to provide a script that works best with Postgres, but like I said you can easily customize it to suit your needs.

Cheers,

Christian
