Bitbucket default project permissions are incorrect

Hi,

I have experienced the following issue on Bitbucket v4.14.5:

When creating a project the default permission is set to Read on the UI. However the API:

/rest/api/1.0/projects/<PROJECT>/permissions/PROJECT_READ/all

appears to give back:

{"permitted":false}

Until the permission is set and reset on the UI explicitly. After that the api behaves correctly.

Hi Marton,

I've just tried this with the latest version of Bitbucket Server (download link) and when I create a new project, the "Default Permission" are showing "No access".  The rest endpoint returns the following (as expected):

{"permitted":false}

If I then change it to read, I get

{"permitted":true}

Could you try to upgrade to the latest version to see if the problem is resolved?

If that's not possible or the issue is not resolved, could you try to reproduce the problem in Safe Mode (with all add ons disabled) and in an Incognito Tab in your browser?
