Bitbucket/Sourcetree write access from a 2nd machine?

sirtimf September 18, 2017

Hi,

I set up my Bitbucket repo via Sourcetree on a pc successfully, and have cloned the same repo on my mac. But when I try to push a commit from my mac I'm getting the following:

--

repository access denied. access via a deployment key is read-only.

fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

--

I understand that SSH keys are read only, but I don't understand why I can't write to the repo if I'm logged in to my Sourcetree/Bitbucket as the account owner. Do I need to add another kind of key?

Many thanks.

Fixed:

Instead of adding the SSH key for my mac to the repo itself, I needed to add the SSH key to my User settings.
