Bitbucket Downloads page asks for CAPTCHA

Tom Hannelius December 22, 2014

I have two user accounts on Bitbucket. While logged into the other account I am asked to: "Please solve the captcha below to upload a file." on the Downloads page of a repo owned by the logged in user. The captcha is not asked in the same case while logged in as the other user.

I have successfully logged in and entered the captcha several times but it keeps popping up when entering the Downloads page. Any ideas why?

No more CAPTCHA prompts on the Downloads page. Looks like a hotfix has resolved this.

Does it allow you to perform the operation after completing the CAPTCHA? If so, then it is likely something account specific and you should open up a support request with Bitbucket at: https://bitbucket.org/support

Yes. I am allowed to perform the action after inserting the CAPTCHA.

Thanks for the pointer. Will open.
