We are considering deploying Smart Mirroring to offload clones from our main Bitbucket hosts. This would be really powerful if we could have multiple mirrors behind a load balancer all serving the same data.
Typically git repos can be cloned pretty quickly if they are on the same network, which is why Smart Mirrors tend to be used to bring the repos onto the networks of remote users. In this scenario, a load balancer would hurt, not help.
However, perhaps your specific situation differs from the common use case. Can you elaborate on what problem / business need you are trying to solve with Smart Mirrors? We may be able to better answer with that information.
