[Bitbucket] Access hyperlinked files with OAuth consumer

Julio Felipe Angelini December 11, 2017

As per the documentation, it's possible to hyperlink to specific files in Bitbucket.

When accessing a file in this way from a private repository without using any authentication, at first I received a 401 Unauthorized response, so far so good.

But when I tried getting an OAuth grant from an OAuth consumer linked to my account with read access on everything, I got 403 Forbidden responses. This means Bitbucket authenticated the account correctly, but somehow it doesn't have the permission to view files... this doesn't make much sense to me. If I can clone the repository with this OAuth consumer, why wouldn't I be able to download a specific file?
