Bitbucket API v2 support in Bitbucket

Hisamitsu Koga September 13, 2016

We have been using Bitbucket Server v4.4.1 and REST API version is v1 in it now.

I want to know v2 is already supported in Bitbucket Server by Atlassian. If Yes, from which Bitbcuket Server,

v2 is supported?

Bitbucket Server only has a v1 API, and it is not the same as the api on bitbucket.org. You can see documentation for the Bitbucket Server API at https://developer.atlassian.com/bitbucket/server/docs/latest/reference/rest-api.html

At the moment, there are no concrete plans to support the bitbucket.org REST APIs in Bitbucket Server.

Cheers!

Thank you for your prompt answer. Appreciate.

For my reference, could you let me know the URL of the API document on bitbucket.org, please?

Hi Adam,

To be precise, we have been Bitbucket (Data Center) v4.4.1 now. is above your answer applied to

Bitbucket (Data Center) v4.4.1 as well?

https://developer.atlassian.com/bitbucket/api/2/reference/ is a good place to start on Bitbucket Cloud APIs (Bitbucket.org). My answer generally applies to all Bitbucket Server and Bitbucket Data Center installs. However, the link I sent you points to the latest version, so there might be some APIs missing in 4.4.1 from what's listed there. You can use https://developer.atlassian.com/bitbucket/server/docs/4.4.1/reference/rest-api.html for 4.4.1 specifically.
