Bamboo Bitbucket CICD by access key

Ray Islam December 9, 2018

Hi,

I am quite new in Bamboo-bitbucket and SSH key. I would like to create a Shared Credential using SSH key but not sure where and how to generate this SSH key.

Also in the Bitbucket to add ssh key, I need a public key. Where can I generate this public key from? Is it from the bamboo server using the same user? Any documentation link how to generate that?

I apologise if it is very novice question but I am quite confused with all these options.

My main purpose is to pull bitbucket repo from Bamboo in every 180secs and check for new commits. I don't want to use username/pass to authenticate.

If anyone can help me out will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ray

You can generate the SSH key in any machine and then upload it to Bamboo. Bamboo store this SSH key in the database and then use it to checkout repository.

The public SSH key have to be uploaded to the Bitbucket side as well.

Refer to this documentation to generate SSH key.
