Automatic license update check failed

Klas Mellbourn April 23, 2013

We have been using Atlassian Stash v2.1.2 for a couple of months. We have paid for the license and registered it in the web GUI. The license page clearly states that our license is valid (and it will end in february 2014).

I have noticed that atlassian-stash.log contains many complaints about automaic license checks:

2013-04-24 13:35:21,760 WARN [scheduler_Worker-4] c.a.u.n.PluginLicenseNotificationCheckerImpl Automatic license update check failed: com.atlassian.upm.mac.HamletException: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection to https://marketplace.atlassian.com refused

That the check is refused is not strange. Our servers have access only to our intranet, not to the internet.

Can I ignore this warning, or will it cause any problems?

Hi Klas,

This is related to UPM, which is trying to connect to our marketplace servers for updates and is unrelated to your actual license. You can disable this error message by switching UPM to offline mode.

Cheers,

Charles
