Are there settings which allow JIRA to see Data from a Personal Forked Repository in Stash?

Jonathan Pham December 19, 2014

Hello Community,

I've recently started administering a Software Project that uses Stash to manage our Git Repositories in conjunction with JIRA Agile. We are trying out a Forking Workflow, and while I can see Commits (on the JIRA Development Section) from the main Project, I am unable to get data from Commits that have been flagged with a JIRA Issue ID from Personal Repositories that have been forked from the Main Project.

Are there settings or permissions that I have neglected?

I would really like to be able to see commits in those forks rather than just those that are pushed to the main project.

Thanks in Advance,

Jonathan.

Hi Jonathon,

Unfortunately you're not missing a setting - it's a known limitation. We currently don't index commits in forks because of performance considerations. See this similar question for details:

We plan to improve the indexing of forks in future releases. Please watch (and vote for) https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/STASH-4541if you want to be notified of any updates on the issue.

Thank you for your fast response, That's a shame. I thought for sure there would be a setting that would allow a fork (or any repo for that matter) to be indexed, or not, on-demand.
