After a project or repo is deleted is there a way to get any logged data about the project?

James Smith March 16, 2021

We would like to know when a recently deleted repository was last accessed and by what IP.

Are there logs held on the Bitbucket cloud server that will tell us this?

Hi James and welcome to the community.

This info is not included in the Audit Log available to workspace admins.

It may be available in our logs depending on how recent the event was, so you can open a support ticket with Bitbucket Cloud support team and ask about it.

Please note that you'll need to be an admin of the workspace that used to own the repo in order for the support team to share such info. In case you are not, you can ask one of the workspace admins to open the support ticket instead (in this case, the admin could also CC you in the support ticket).

You can open a ticket via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/, in "What can we help you with" select "Technical issues and bugs" and then Bitbucket Cloud as product. Please make sure to mention in the "Give us more details" field the URL of the deleted repo.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
