Add a file in bitbucket

Peter March 31, 2016

Bitbucket Cloud has the functionality of an online editor and the ability to add files:

https://blog.bitbucket.org/2014/02/24/online-editing-now-with-more-crud/

I understand that Bitbucket Server (Stash) originally comes from a different source.  However, both these functionality are quite useful for quick work (i.e. adding/editing Readme.md or addressing minor changes).  I found the "Editor for Stash" add-on which would add the editor feature.  However, is there anything that provides the "Add file" feature?

Hey Peter,

One of the developers of Editor for Stash here. There currently isn't a way to add a file in Bitbucket Server from the UI, but we're planning on adding this feature soon. For updates follow this issue:

https://github.com/mohamicorp/editor-for-stash-issues/issues/30

UPDATE: We now support adding files.

Thanks,

Mohammed
