AWS EC2 instance not able to connect to bitbucket.org

Admin March 22, 2018

Hi,

EC2 Details:
OS: Ubuntu 16.04
Git client: git version 2.7.4

Issue:
From AWS instance I am not able to connect to bitbucket.org repositories. Tried ping to bitbucket.org but, I didn't got any response. I check-out bit-bucket repository via ssh clone. Outbound traffic is of type 'All traffic'.

Dhairyashil

Hi Dhairyashil! Unfortunately in this case, the issue itself is with AWS so there's nothing we can do. At the moment, Bitbucket is unavailable to customers routing from our eu-central-1 region. We are in direct contact with Amazon while they continue working to fix the issue.

As a workaround, if you are able to use a VPN you should be able to connect using a region outside of the eu-central-1 region.

Please follow https://status.bitbucket.org/incidents/xcyz4zydg4q8 for the latest status updates.

Kind regards,

Ana
