1 Project - More repositories

daniel_f October 9, 2013

I'm new to jira and stash and trying to find a good workflow for us.

What are the usages for more reposities in 1 project?

In the past i had 1 repository per project on bitbucket / github, that's why i'm currios what advantage i would get?

What are other Stash users doing with this?:)

Hi Daniel,

At the moment the big advantage of having a project with multiple repositories is the management of permissions. If you want to grant rights to different teams, each could have their own project. Users would then inherit permissions from the project as they create new repositories.

Over time I'm hoping that this extends to other settings as well, such as hooks and branching model.

Does that help / answer your question?

Charles
