Pipes monthly digest March 2021
Welcome to the next Bitbucket Pipes digest. This month comes packed with additions to Pipes. Don’t forget to subscribe (click Watch and select Articles)!
We are happy to announce new approach to authenticate in AWS Pipes: supporting OpenID Connect (OIDC)Authentication. AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID, AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY variables are not required anymore, but remain as the default option. Checkout the documentation for OIDC setup. Currently, OIDC Authentication is maintained in the following pipes:
Deploy your stack configuration template to AWS CloudFormation.
Invalidate your CloudFront distribution to refresh caches.
Perform an EC2 deployment using AWS CodeDeploy.
Build and push docker images to AWS Elastic Container Registry.
Deploy a containerized application to AWS ECS.
Update Lambda function code and create new version, and create/update aliases pointing to versions.
Deploy to Amazon S3.
Also, some improvements to the other pipes are made:
Deploy AWS serverless lambda stack to AWS Cloud.
Replaced AWS SAM cli package with a binary one. Bumped to 1.18.0.
Execute a kubectl command on your Kubernetes cluster.
Bugfix: fix LABELS variable usage in kubectl.
Analyze and scan container image to produce software vulnerabilities, dockerfile and other security/compliance violations.
Bump version of inline scan to 0.9.2
This pipe seamlessly integrates comprehensive container analysis directly into your CI/CD pipeline.
Add Bill Of Materials(BOM) to the analysis results
