Updates for February 2020

Joerg Mueller-Kindt February 13, 2020

Our year is getting into gear and we are very excited that our decision to plan ahead starts paying off and our calendar is filling up at a rapid clip (already talking about June and August!)

Next Event: Scale Away! at Scout24, February 27th

We are very excited about this next event, when we will be at Scout24’s Berlin office next to Ostbahnhof and we are very grateful to them for hosting us and STAGIL providing the beverages.

So what better way to start the evening with an overview about the many teams and processes that are supported with Atlassian products at Scout24 by Patric Lee Atrott.

The main topic of the evening is scalability and how to handle scale through automation. Daniel Meisen  from kreuzwerker shares their experiences with managing many smaller instances and Christian Koch from scandio about the challenges they faced introducing Atlassian for 50.000+ employees at BMW.

So all the things are their: Great location, gracious host, interesting topics and nice people. The only thing missing is your RSVP! Which you can add here: https://ace.atlassian.com/e/mv39b9/

Looking forward to our second breakfast, March 26th

On the eve of the Atlassian Summit in Las Vegas we will have our second breakfast and as announced last time, we not only wanted to provide crunchy things and coffee, but also give you something to talk about. Caterina Trainito @Caterina Trainito  (who is a research assistant at the Centrum für Integrative Neurowissenschaften, Tübingen and and MSc in Neuroscience) and Matthias Sohn from Meelogic Software AG want to share their experiences with handling transitions from Dev/Staging to production and want to know how to automate these staging processes with your Atlassian instances. You can find their question in our Atlassian Community Group and start the discussion there and huddle around a table during our breakfast to discuss this in depth: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Berlin-Brandenburg/Topic-for-2nd-Atlassian-Community-Breakfast/gpm-p/1298121#M7

So join our Community Group and start the discussion!

You can RSVP for our second breakfast here: https://ace.atlassian.com/e/mg8kw9/

A short video from our last breakfast is online in our YouTube channel.

Summit is coming!

Summit is coming and there are still tickets available. We have treat for you (or rather Atlassian gave us a treat to hand out): As a member of the Atlassian Community you can get a 30% discount with the discount code COMMUNITYTAKE30%. So: One reason less not to go to Las Vegas.

We still want to organize kind of an impromptu emptying of glasses with our members who attend the summit, but we have to know that you are there.

Let us know through the Atlassian Community (there is a post for that: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Berlin-Brandenburg/Who-from-Berlin-and-or-Brandenburg-will-be-in-Las-Vegas-gt-AC/gpm-p/1265819) and we are looking forward to see you there in April.

Follow us!

So again: Join the community group and follow us on Twitter, YouTube and Linkedin. See you soon and more to come!

Hi @Joerg Mueller-Kindt

the agenda for February 27th sounds very interesting (and relevant to me) - unfortunately I won't be able to attend this time :-/

Do you know (yet) if this will be a recorded session for the "Atlassian Community Berlin Brandenburg" Youtube-Channel like the recent ones? Would be awesome!

Thanks for the organisation - as always :-) !

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi @Daniel Ebers ,

thank you for the flowers (happy Valentine's Day) recommend us to friends and family ;-). Yes, there will be recordings of this event, we are trying to turn this into something regular - albeit from humble beginnings - to create an audiovisual record for people interested in what we do.

Thank you again and see you around soon.

Best Regards

Joerg
