Laurent Py, Vice President Product Management at SmartBear, was kind enought to join us yesterday during SmartBear's user conference - SmartBear Connect 2020 s. https://smartbear.com/connect/ (you can still join free of charge for the second day, if you read this on April 28th, 2020!) - to give us an introduction to Requirements Management and Collaboration in Jira with BDD and Cucumber for Jira and how they use this for their own development processes at SmartBear (e.g. building Cucumber Studio; Zephy for Jira, etc.). BDD is not test automation, it is an interactive process that defines the behavior of your system making testing a continuous process in a CI/CD pipeline and creating a living - always up to date - documentation along the way.
