"Latest successful approved deployment" download/link?

Daan Timmer January 28, 2015

If possible we would like to do an automated weekly deployment which then will be approved by our QA.

QA should either approve or mark them as broken. Now I've understood from this Q/A here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/262527 that these buttons are not useful.

At first thought we would like to have an automated download link just like the "latestSuccessful" link which is provided by Builds. However, these aren't available for deployments.

So another idea was to have two environments, one for QA and one for Production. A weekly build is automatically generated for QA and they approve them by manually triggering the Production Deployment and then use an automated script which just "fetches the last available Production Deployment artifacts". But there doesn't appear to be such a (download) link available. Or am I missing something?

Are there other possible steps for the kind of flow that we want? We don't want a person manually having to go to the Bamboo site and downloading an artefact manually in an otherwise fully automated process. (Including Flashing the released artefacts in to the chips at production)
