how do i add the findbugs plug in

I downloaded the plugiun and added the same in webapps/plugin folder and restarted Bamboo.

But i dont see it installed. am i missed anything?

You need to put in in the 'webapp/WEB-INF/lib' directory, not in the plugins one.
