Why my Bamboo AWS elastic Instance is suddently deleted?

I have Bamboo on demand. I have noticed that twice my elastic agent got deleted on Moday. Looking for answers found out that many more people are also facing this issue, but did not get a satisfactory answer as to why it is happening and what needs to be done to avoid this issue.

There's an upgrade window on Mondays. If your server is restarted, the instance will be shut down.

Why the shut down causes termination of instance and is there any way to avoid this? I have to have many pre-reqs installed before I can build my project. Loosing the instance make me redo all the work.

There's no way to avoid this atm. Making EC2 instances survive restart will happen eventually, but there's no schedule for it.
