Why is my Bamboo build server not deleting old builds?

shaulbehr July 9, 2015

Hi,

I've set up a continuous integration build project.  In the "Miscellaneous" tab I have checked "Clean working directory after each build".  But this apparently does not do what I thought it was supposed to, because on the file system I can see hundreds of old CI builds (under C:\Atlassian\Bamboo-home\xml-data\build-dir).

I can go in there and manually blow away all these old builds, but this is not a long term plan.  How do I set up the build project so that all it does is verify that the solution builds and all unit tests pass, and then it can delete the working directory?

I think that you are confusing build directory with archiving artifacts results. Build directory is the same for each build and this is called working directory. The checkbox cleans exactly that.

Now, you are talking about the past builds and their artifacts. See this link for help on setting plan data expiration.

All these checkboxes are set, but it does not delete all the CI builds.
