Using new Amazon T2 instances on Bamboo On Demand

Deleted user July 10, 2014

Hello,

Amazon has recently introduced T2 instances, however it does not look possible to select T2 instances while creating an elastic image configuration.

Is there a workaround to achieve that?

Hi Matthieu,

The estimated dates are in 21 Oct 2014 for Standalone (Behind The Firewall) instances, and in 27 Oct 2014 for OnDemand instances.

These dates might be postponed, however. We can't tell you for sure.

It's quite likely that one of the eariler OD updates will carry that change, you don't have to wait for the 5.7 final.

Hi Matthieu,

There aren't any workaround to achieve that, unfortunately.

I created this improvement request yesterday:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-14779

As can be seen above, the intention is to add all currently available instance types in Bamboo 5.7.

Kind regards,

Do you have any idea when is Bamboo 5.7 expected to be released?

We are planning to purchase a T2 Reserved Instance on Amazon AWS to be used as build server.

Thanks!
