Setting up Elastic Bamboo with EC2

Mark Robson February 19, 2015

I'm going around in circles with this thing, which lets face it should be really simple. Someone set up an account on EC2 and I've been given the task of taking over it. I don't know where the ami image came from, but when I try and run it it just says "pending". Is there a standard ami key that can be used? If so why isn't it locatable anywhere in the documentation? This is driving me nuts! cheeky

If you're using a region other than us east (you can check that in the elastic bamboo configuration), there will be no stock amis available for you, you're dealing with a custom ami and the list of things that can go wrong is very long.

Stock amis will be available in all regions within a couple of weeks.

aarrghh! The account was set up for me and then handed to me to finish. That makes sense now (in the sense of that being the standard) Thanks!
