The Recently Built feed on the Bamboo Build activity page is always showing "Updated by Anonymous User" as the build reason. The correct committer is shown everywhere else(Plan summary, Wallboard, etc.).
Maybe this is caused by the way our build plans check out the code. Since we are still using CVS (-.-), even worse CVSNT, we have to checkout the code with a batch script that uses the native CVSNT client rather than the Bamboo built in CVS client.
The builds are triggered by the usual Bamboo Repository polling job.
My main problem is that the Recently Build feed is consumed by our other Atlassian applications like JIRA and Confluence and is therefore not showing the user that has triggered the built.
Bamboo version: 5.9.4 Standalone
I figured it out myself.
The problem is that the repositories are defined at the plan level and the Recently Built feed gathers it's content from the job level. When the defined repositories are not used in a Checkout Source task there is no connection to the repository. However the connection is there when you view the plan.
Hope it helps someone else wondering about that.
