Hi there,
I'd like to integrate bamboo with stash, however, when I'm tring to create the application link, I receive the following error:
Can't create a link to this application, because the application type 'stash' is not locally installed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Stash integration with Bamboo 5.6 and Stash 3.1 is getting on a really new level - check the release notes.
Hi Horgen,
This error is most likely because you are running a version of Bamboo that does not support Stash (ie, it was released before we released Stash).
Regardless, Stash and Bamboo do not need an application link to be integration. Simply point Bamboo to the repository clone url in Stash.
Cheers,
Seb

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I'm using the latest Bamboo code (4.2), just fetched today for a clean install. The reason why I'd love to link them together is that I'd like to use the repository selection screen (as described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/Integrating+Bamboo+with+Stash), instead of constantly adding the git repository URLs, but I can't even find it where the wiki describes. I even thought it could be a JDK error (even 1.7 is supported for Bamboo 4.2), so I've tried it with JDK 6, but no luck. :(

The documentation that you have referred allows Bamboo to render links to Stash for contributing commits to builds. This integration point does not automatically provide Bamboo with a mechanism to clone the repository for builds. That being said, I strongly agree that the integration between Bamboo and Stash could be really improved to make build configurations seamless. I would suggest raising an issue in the Bamboo JIRA project.
The following image shows how this manifests itself in Bamboo:

Hi!
I think you don't need to raise new issue - instead, the https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-11409, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-11460 are relevant ones here. Please vote on them.
