First of all, please make sure you have followed the documentation:

• Installing Bamboo on Linux
• Installing Bamboo on Windows
• Installing Bamboo on Mac OS X

Please, make sure you have what is required to run Bamboo:

• Supported platforms

How can i make sure that my bamboo start up procedure was correct?

You could go through Bamboo logs and check if there are any ERRO or FATAL messages being thrown while Bamboo is running:

• <bamboo-install>/logs/catalina.out
• <bamboo-home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log
