Has anyone tried to merge two Bamboo instances to one single instance. As importing backup will overide the existing contetent, did anyone fin ressources on how to do that?

It's not a trivial task, you'll most likely have overlapping database ids, you'll need to remap acls etc. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time on doing this (>one week), forget about it.
