Hi,
I am trying to integrate Bamboo 4.3.1 user repositories with our Jira 5.0 server.
I have set up a user called bamboo in the Jira server. The user is part of the group bamboo-admin.
I have set up the application links between jira and bamboo with the wizard on jira.
In User repositories, I set the server URL to http://jira50.sgrt.local:8080/
There is no proxy between the bamboo and this jira address. (There are apache proxy's on other of the jira addresses)
I set Application Name to the username I set up in jira
I set Application Password to the password of the user I set up in jira.
When I click save I get
Failed to change the active user repository: com.atlassian.crowd.exception.InvalidAuthenticationException: Application failed to authenticate
The log on the Bamboo server has the following entries
...
2012-11-14 07:51:08,873 INFO qtp2091111631-128 AccessLogFilter admin POST http://bamboo.sgrt.local:8085/admin/configureUserManagement.action 45753kb

Followed by Java trace details
Bamboo is running on a ms server 2003 64 bit environment with java 1.6.0_24
and jira is running on a 32 bit Linux environment with java 1.6.0_29
I have tried with several different passwords.
I have even tried different jira user account names.
Could you please tell me what I have missed in the configuration.
