Is it possible to prioritise queued jobs based on duration?

Is it possible to make jobs that take minutes to run (on average) get put before other jobs that take 10's of minutes -> hours?

I've noticed that our bamboo server is queuing my 2 minute stage for an 10s of minutes while waiting for a large proportion of >hour builds to complete.

And then, my next stage gets queued all over again, waiting 10s of minutes, inflating a "single job" build time from 20 min to over an hour.

ATM the only queue ordering strategy we've implemented is classic FIFO. When it comes to build ordering there's no golden bullet, the strategy you're describing can lead to delaying huge builds.

Upcoming Bamboo 5.6 will allow you dedicate an agent to specific plans. With this feature you'll be able to select an agent that will run only small jobs giving them a chance to complete quicker.
