Hello.
I would like to be able to get the Bamboo build number (i.e: #34, #35, etc.) during our build process, and save it to a .txt file or perhaps set it as an environment variable so that it can be used by other applications further on in the build process.
For testing, it would be ideal to have the Bamboo build number as part of the version string for our application.
Please can you let me know if and how this can be done?

Take a look at Bamboo variables documentation. What you are looking for is ${bamboo.buildNumber}.
