Does anyone have advice in upgrading bamboo from 5.14 to 6.10?

I am new to Bamboo administration.  Does anyone have any upgrade advice for upgrading bamboo from 5.14 to 6.10?  Any security issues?  Do we need to upgrade bitbucket at the same time?

No need to upgrade Bitbucket at the same time.

You can upgrade Bamboo from v5.14 to 6.10 without intermediate upgrade. See this article.
